It is impossible to compare the star rating to Passive House analysis – it is like comparing a pair of roller skates with a Mercedes Benz.

Although Passive House and the star rating both assess the overall energy consumption of the building; Passive House analysis is more accurate, realistic, and specific about energy performance whilst creating a consistent, healthy, and comfortable indoor air environment. The star rating is a basic tool that doesn’t actually measure any indoor temperature or ventilation.
